17 March 2018 048C Neville Hotels Novice H'cap H'dleR. Loughran, rider of Theatre World, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount jumped deliberate and carried his head high throughout.
The Stewards requested a report from Paul Nolan, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Quamino (GER), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Dan Doyle, authorised representative of the trainer, reported that a combination of a tongue tie and cross noseband fitted for the first time, in what he felt was a lesser race, had brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Stewards noted the explanation offered.
048F Barry Ennis Memorial Nov. H'cap S'chD.N. Russell, rider of Soul Kaliber trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount tired quickly and pulled up thereafter.
048G Wexford (Pro-Am) INH Flat RaceMr F. Maguire, rider of Perito Moreno (FR) trained by Miss Elizabeth Doyle, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a noise and pulled up thereafter.
Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Small Farm trained by W.P. Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount stopped quickly.
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Small Farm, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
